TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held an auction in its front yard on Wednesday afternoon, November 12, 2014.
A total of 42 items were offered in the auction, comprising 39 cell phones, two laptops, and a projector.
The auction attracted scores of Jakartans as the items were offered at extremely affordable prices, with the cheapest cell phone tagged at Rp25,000.
A number of policemen were observed on the scene, all attempting to bid on the items. First Brigadier Fajar, a policeman among the auction participants, said that he bid on a Samsung Galaxy S3, which he bought at only Rp 300,000.
