TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Anti-graft Body, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) called on all ministers in the United Indonesia Cabinet during the era of former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to report their wealth.
"We call on all ministers who have finished their duties to report their wealth,” said Johan Budi S.P, KPK Spokesperson, Friday, October 31, 2014.
As of Friday, only former Agriculture Minister Suswono who reported their wealth to KPK.
"We’re certainly going to clarify it,” Johan said.
According to Johan, the aim of the report before and after taking office is to find out whether their wealth has increased or not.
Usually, state officials are given a period of up to three months to report their wealth after being inaugurated or after their term of office have ended.
The obligation for state officials to report their wealth is regulated by Law Number 28 of 1999 on State Officials that are free and clean from Corruption, Collision, and Nepotism.
