Five Exotic Malls Around the World

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - People often make time to visit shopping centers during their travel, whether to buy souvenir or just to enjoy the atmosphere. Quoting Travelongue October edition, there are at least five most exotic shopping center around the globe. Here is the list:

1.Dubai Mall, United Arab Emirates

In Dubai, UAE, malls are the main attraction for tourist because they are provided with luxurious and stunning facilities. Dubai mall becomes the world largest mall that has recreational area such as Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, inside it. The aquarium itself sized 51x20x11 meter and also the world’s largest aquarium. Inside the aquarium there is 32.8-meter wide and 8.3-meter high tunnel.

2.West Edmonton Mall, Canada

Joy has never left this mall located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It has large water recreational area and Marine Life where visitor can see marine animals.

It also has Ice Palace, the skating spot that is available in all seasons. For adults, the mall has cafe, lounge bar, club, casino, and also family dining restaurant. People can even stay over in the hotel located in the mall complex.

3.Westfield Mall, England

The ‘Westfield’ sign colored in bright red looks flashy on the white-painted wall of the mall located in White City, Shepherds Bush, London, England. The inner ceiling would captivate visitors as soon as they enter the mall. It has pillars shaped like trees with branches, not to mention the number of the stores that counts to more than 300. There are 60 restaurants and some of them offers halal food for muslims.

4.Mall of America, United States of America

Being in Bloomington, Minnesota, USA, shopaholic would be spoiled by 520 retails, including three biggest department stores, namely Macy’s, Nordstorm and Sears.

Besides, the mall has Nickleodeon Universe amusement park that offers 24 types of rides in addition to Lego arena, aquarium, flight simulation, mirror maze, among others.

5.The Grand Canal Shoppes, USA

Upper class boutiques with personal services become the feature of the mall located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The shopping hall of 46,000-meter square large is inspired by atmosphere of Venice in Italy.

It even has canals with gondola that will bring visitor explore the corners of the mall. Restaurants are available along the canal.
