Poets Join Poetry Roadshow against Corruption in Lampung

TEMPO.CO, Bandar Lampung – At least 20 poets are set to join and enliven the Poetry Roadshow against Corruption at Mal Kartini in Bandar Lampung, Lampung on Tuesday night, October 28, 2014.
Isbedy Stiawan Z.S., the event’s coordinator, said the 20 poets would recite their anti-corruption poems in the event.
Among the poets are Syarifuddin Arifin, Murdok, Tarmizi Rumahitam, Acep Syahril, Abah Yoyok, Juperta Panji Utama, Udo Z. Karzi, Alya Salaisha, Sosiawan Leak and Ayu Cipta.
“It is likely that there are more poets coming, because some of them just told us they would come,” said Isbedy, who is also known as “Lampung’s Literary Whale”.
Isbedy said the jury included poets Sosiawan Leak, Isbedy Stiawan Z.S. and Syaiful Irba Tanpaka. The winner, first runner-up and second runner-up of the competition will receive Rp1,250,000; Rp1,000,000; and Rp750,000 in cash, respectively.
