TEMPO.CO, Madrid - Real Madrid came out as the winner in the La Liga match against Barcelona 3-1 at Santiago Bernabeu, last night. Madrid's winning in the El Classico reduces the gap to one point behind Blaugrana who still tops the classification.
Barcelona started the duel between two rivals quite convincing. Neymar converted feed from new comer Luis Suarez beautifully on the 4th minute, giving Blaugrana a lead.
Madrid, however, scored the equalizer on the 35th through Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty execution. The penalty was awarded after a handball by Gerard Pique. The goal becomes Ronaldo's 16th in this season La Liga.
In the second half, Los Blancos dominated the game and turned the position around to 2-1 after Pepe's head shot into Barca's net at the 50th. Karim Benzema sunk the third winning goal for Madrid at the 61th through a great collaboration with James Rodriguez who gave the assist.
