TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of high-ranking officials on Saturday, October 25, 2014, paid a visit to former Indonesian Baharudin Jusuf Habibie, who is being treated at Gatot Subroto Hospital, Central Jakarta.
The officials were Speaker of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) and Chairman of the Election Organizers Ethics Council (DKPP) Jimly Asshiddiqie.
Irman said that the condition of the former president is improving and said that Habibie can already talk.
"We had a chat (in his room), Irman said, adding that Habibie fell ill after was he was tired attending the inauguration of President Joko Widodo on October 20.
"After the inauguration, he had other things to do. Due to his tight schedule, he was tired and had a breathing problem,” Irman added.
Habibie was then admitted to Borromeus Hospital in Bandung. After his condition improved, he was then admitted to Gatot Soebroto Hospital, Central Jakarta.
In the meantime, Jimly also said that Habibie’s condition improved.
"He only needs some rest,” Jimly said.
"Let’s pray that he will always stay healthy,” he added.
