Jokowi will not Appoint a Spokesperson, Official Says

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Former Deputy of the Transitional Team Andi Widjajanto, said that President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo does not plan to appoint a spokesperson. Andi claimed that Jokowi will be responsible for any of his presidential tasks.

Previously, Andi had said that Jokowi would likely to appoint one spokesperson for foreign relation purposes. Andi said that the spokesperson and speech writer position are under the jurisdiction of the Communication Director of Presidential Office. However, no one has been appointed to head the respective presidential office.

Moreover, Jokowi also set to hold a meeting with Vice President Jusuf Kalla. Minister candidates are rumored to join the meeting, including top names such as Rini Soemarno, Andi Widjajanto, Anies Baswedan, and Praktikno.
