Despite the absence of Gareth Bale, the remaining of the BBC sensation, Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo, both scored.
Ronaldo scored the opener with a goal in the 23rd minute. Benzema caught up seven minutes later and in the 41st. Madrid were three goals ahead at half time.
Madrid, despite resting Ronaldo in the second half, still ruled the game with 56 percent ball possession and 12 shots, five of which were on goal.
The victory at Anfield also put Madrid on top of the group table, collecting nine points from three roup matches. Liverpool, on the other hand, were left at third with only three points out of three matches.
