TEMPO.CO, Manado - The pilot and co-pilot of Australian plane BV 95 Beechraft type that was forced to land in Manado, Jacklyn Grame Paul and Maclean Richard Wayne, had only brought necessary clothings.
"There were no other things besides the small luggage filled with their clothings inside," Commander of Sam Ratulangi Airstrip Manado, Col. Hesly Paath, said earlier this morning.
The plane had no permission to fly within the Indonesian airspace. As a result, it was instructed to land yesterday.
At first, Hesly said, the plane refused to land. After four hours flying above Indonesian territory, such as Ambon and Kupang, the plane was finally forced to land in Manado.
Both the Australian pilot and co-pilot are currently detained by Sam Ratulangi Airstrip Manado Authority.
