TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Seeing and photographing sun rise or sunset from the height of a mountain peak brings particular sensation. The glowing moment on the earth can be seen from several location in Indonesia, such as mountains in Java and Bali islands, also on the beaches.
A member of Bandung Plateau Researcher Community, T. Bachtiar recommends perfect spots to do the activity.
In West Java, mesmerizing sun rise can be seen from Mount Cikuray, Mt. Ciremai and Mt. Galunggung. Whereas in Dieng highlands, it can be seen from Sikunir, Mt. Prau, Pakuwaja, Bisma, and Mt. Bromo.
As for the sunset moment, it can be viewed from Ratu Boko and Ijo temples in Dieng, Senggigi Beach in Lombok, and Mt. Agung Bali.
Bachtiar said that the best time to view the sunset is during the dry season.
“The sky is not clean, so the sun light will look yellow, orange, or red,” said Bachtiar.
