TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Golkar Party faction in the House of Representatives (DPR) is aiming for three commissions in the DPR.
Golkar Party faction secretary Bambang Soesatyo said those three commissions are Commission II, III and XI. Commission II oversees domestic government, apparatus and regional autonomy, Commission III oversees legal issues, legislation and security and Commission XI oversees demographic, manpower and transmigration issues.
Bambang said the Red-White Coalition had also targeted several commissions. The Great Indonesia Movement Party is aiming for Commission IV (agriculture and food) and VII (energy and environment). Another party is aiming for Commission I (defense and intelligence). However, the result will have to wait. “We’re still waiting for consultation meeting result later,” said Bambang on Tuesday.
Commission sharing for other parties will be adjusted with the ability of the proposed figures. The distribution of seats for commission chiefs has also not been decided because the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) is showing signs of approaching Red-White Coalition.
Bambang said the seats that would be given to the PDI-P were the seats that were previously for the United Development Party. “We will disucss again with faction chiefs later,” said Bambang.
