TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Acting Governor of Jakarta, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok), expected that Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla’s administration could establish a good coordination with the regional government.
One of them is the coordination of the ownership tenure of the central government’s assets to the region. “In Jakarta, transition plays an important role,” Ahok said on Monday, October 20.
Ahok stated that one of the tenures that he discussed with Jokowi was the state road issue. This transition is supposed to eliminate any kind of hindrance due to the status of the roads, also to ease the process of infrastructure developments. In other words, the implementation of the program will no longer collide with any form of bureaucracy.
Ahok gives example of the electronic road pricing system, which is to be applied in Jenderal Gatot Subroto Street, South Jakarta, but was forced to be delayed. The reason is that the road belongs to the state and prohibited the government of Jakarta to conduct any developments on it.
Ahok also requested the tenure of Gelora Bung Karno in South Jakarta and ex-Kemayoran Airport, Central Jakarta. “We ask for us to manage it,” Ahok said.
