TEMPO.CO, Sidoarjo – Sualstro, a Lapindo mud victim, has called for the inclusion of the Lapindo mud problem into the 100-day programs of the new government under President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
“If it’s included in the 100-day programs, it means Jokowi really cares about us,” Sulasro told Tempo on Monday.
He also reminded Jokowi about his promises in the political contract he signed on May 29 prior to the July 9 presidential race.
Harwati, another Lapindo mud victim, said the lingering Lapindo mud problem must be prioritized in Jokowi’s government. “We really deplore that the SBY government did not solve this problem,” she said.
Harwati hoped Jokowi’s government did not repeat the same mistake as that made by the Yudhoyono government and keep his promises. "I hope Jokowi hears us," she said.
