TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Taiwanese cell-phone maker HTC has launched its new smartphone in India, the HTC Desire 516C, to complete the Desire 820 and 820q that are already available in the country.
The dual-SIM quad-core phone is priced at just US$211, the GSM Dome reported Saturday.
The 516C supports the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean but there has been no news yet as to when its software will be updated Kitkat or Lollipop.
The Desire 516C features a 5-inch qHD display (LCD) with 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 200 CPU and 1GB of RAM. It also boasts a 4GB internal plus a microSD card slot with a maximum storage capacity of 32GB.
The new smartphone comes equipped with a 5MP rear camera and a front 0.3 front camera. Powered by a removable 1950 mAH battery, the Desire 516C can purportedly deliver up to nine hours of talk time on 3G connectivity and a maximum 220 hours on standby mode.
