TEMPO.CO, Incheon - Indonesia has secured another gold and bronze medals from wushu as nanquan and nandao gold medalist from Malaysia, Tai Cheau Xuen, tested positive for doping.
Indonesian athlete Juwita Niza Wasni, who previously won a silver medal, was awarded with the vacant gold medal. Ivana Ardelia Irmanto, sitting at fourth, got the bronze medal.
"Malaysian officials have told us that they have handed the gold medal to IAGOC," said Indonesian contingent chief Ade Lukman. "However, both IAGOC and OCA have yet to deliver the medal to us."
With the gold medal from wushu, Indonesia has in total collected four gold medals at the Games. The other three gold medals were presented from athletics and badminton.
