TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said some 4,300 policemen would safeguard the inauguration of House lawmakers for the 2014-2019 period.

“These are joint personnel from the provincial and resort police,” he said on Tuesday, September 30, 2014.

The police would set up four security rings around the House premises. The first ring will be made inside the inauguration room, the second inside the building, the third within the parliament compound, and the last one outside of the parliament compound.

In addition, the police also prepared a contingency plan involving around 19,000 joint personnel from the National Police and the Armed Forces.

Jakarta Police Traffic chief Sr. Comr. Budiyanto said his department would also divert the traffic for the inauguration. “It will be situational,” he said.
