TEMPO.CO, Kiev - The Eastern parts of Ukraine continue to experience intense gunfight between Pro-Russian rebels and government troops. In the latest battle near the airport in Donetsk, 12 people were reported killed.
Associated Press reported that Colonel Andriy Lysenko said that nine servicemen were killed in one day, while 27 others were wounded. On the other hand, Donetsk City Council said that there were three civilians killed and five others were injured in the shootout.
Despite the fact that the two sides have agreed to a ceasefire, numerous clashes for independence continue to take place in Eastern Ukraine. Since it was started on April 2014, the conflict has killed at least 3,500 people, both civilians and military.
