TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Apple Inc said it sold 10 million new iPhone 6 in the first weekend after its latest model went on sale in ten countries last Friday.
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus booked record pre-orders of more than four million on September 12, twice the sales of iPhone 5 as much as two million orders within the same period two years ago.
Based on the first day of pre-order, analysts estimated iPhone 6 and 6 Plus sales reaching ten million units.
Last year, Apple sold nine million iPhone 5S and 5C in 11 countries, including China, in the first weekend.
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus sales in China are currently delayed due to a regulation issue.
