TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Politician of the National Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Eriko Sotarduga said that the negotiation with the United Development Party (PPP) and the National Mandate Party (PAN) has reached its final stage. "Jokowi has spoken of it," he told Tempo.

Eriko expressed his optimism that the two parties are likely to join and support Joko Widodo-Kalla, given their common stance on issues like MD3 Bill and regional election. "We have common understanding that [being] together is better for the good of others," he said.

Moreover, Eriko said that PPP and PAN presence in PDIP National Meeting in Semarang has served as evidence that communication is close from being finalized. Previously, both PAN and PPP are notably parts of Merah Putih Coalition which opposes PDI-P in several matters such as Regional Election and MD3.
