TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The president director of PT Hyundai Mobil Indonesia Mukiat Sutikno said his company was targeting to sell 400 units at this year’s Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in Jakarta International Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta. "We have no lower class multi-purpose vehicles. Most of our segments are for upper-middle class," Mukiat said when contacted by Tempo yesterday.

Until Friday, Hyundai has just sold around 30 units at the show. However, Mukiat was confident that their sales would continue to rise.

"Yesterday, people attending [the event] were being limited. Normally in the second or next week, the number of people would quickly increase," Mukiat added.

In order to reach the target, he relied on three latest line-ups released this year. The three products are Tucson, H1, and i10. "But, on the demand side, many people are interested in Santa Fe and H1," Mukiat explained.

Hyundai has confirmed they would not be releasing a new model during the exhibition since their latest products have been launched this year.
