TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police’s anti-terror squad Detachment 88 captured 5 terrorist suspects on Saturday night, September 28, 2014 in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara.
“Of the six suspects, five of them were arrested in Bima, another one was shot dead in Dompu Regency,” a source at West Nusa Tenggara Police told Tempo.
The raid was related to a terrorist network lead by Idham or Oni, who was captured in Sumbawa in June. The killed terrorist, Nurdin, was a brother of Firdaus who was known as a teacher at an Islamic boarding school.
West Nusa Tenggara police chief Brigadier General Sriyono said his men are still on location to develop the case. When being asked whether there will be other arrests, Sriyono said that it would depend on the investigation results.
