TEMPO.CO, London - Chelsea's manager Jose Mourinho said to have never had any forms of communication with Cristiano Ronaldo, since he left Real Madrid in 2013. Mourinho, as cited by Goal, emphasized that Ronaldo plays for Real Madrid and he is Chelsea manager.
Recently, Chelsea have been linked to sign Ronaldo, competing neck-to-neck against Ronaldo's former club Manchester United. Therefore, Chelsea management plans on using Mourinho as a media to persuade Ronaldo leaving Santiago Bernabeu. In a statement, Mou denied the rumor, saying that has no plan to sign Ronaldo, yet wishing the best for the player.
Mou left Real Madrid in summer 2013 due to clashes with several players, particularly goalkeeper and icon Iker Casillas. The problem began when Mourinho swapped Iker with Diego Lopez under the goalpost. The decision received harsh response from fans, as Casillas has been Madrid’s captain for years.
