TEMPO.CO, Bern - Football giant Brasil has climbed to sixth in FIFA ranking, taking over Uruguay’s position in the recent ranking updates by the word's football federation in Bern, Switzerland.
In recent fixtures, Brazil has won two friendly matches against Coombia and Ecuador under its new coach, Dunga. The former Brazil international has replaced Luis Philippe Scolari, who was sacked due to his poor performance in World Cup 2014.
Under Scolari, Brazil was humiliated by World champion German 1-7 in the semifinal. The defeat was deemed the most embarrassing result in the Selecao history.
Germany tops the list, followed by Argentina and Colombia. Indonesia, meanwhile, is at 156th.
