TEMPO.CO, Nyon, Switzerland - European soccer's governing body, UEFA, has revoked a ban on international matches being set in Israel, UEFA’s Secretary General Gianni Infantino said yesterday.
"This ban has been lifted due to the improved situation in Israel," Infantino told reporters.
Israel was prohibited in July from staging any European competition matches, at either national team or club level, due to the security situation in the country that is not conducive.
A Euro 2016 qualifing stage, due to be staged earlier this month at home against Belgium, was postponed to March.
Their next home game is against Bosnia on November 16.
