TEMPO.CO, London - The President of Football Association (FA) Greg Dyke criticized Chelsea's policy on buying a number of youngsters to only be set on loan to other clubs.
Chelsea now own 26 young players, a third of which are from out of Europe, currently on loan to other clubs. FA, on the other hand, is trying to set a limit for non-European players.
Dyke said that according to FA regulations, only a selected few non-European players could play in the Premier League. Chelsea’s policy to recruit and loan non-European players is certainly against the regulation.
Therefore, FA is working on a new regulation that will put a strict entry for non European players. The regulation will also confine clubs from committing "recruit and loan" strategy like Chelsea.
