TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Drug Unit of West Jakarta Police Resort, Senior Commissioner Gembong Yudha, said that the police have managed to arrest five drug dealers that operated in the network of Asian regions. "The five dealers were caught red-handed on dealing drugs in West Jakarta," he said.
Gembong refused to tell the kind of drugs that the five dealers were handling, saying only that the suspects dealt with non-local drugs. "It [originates] in around Asia," said Gembong.
Moreover, Gembong said that Indonesian drug users were willing to pay a lot of money for their drugs. The arrest of these five dealers added more suspects that had been arrested by the West Jakarta Police Department within 10 days. In total, there were 26 people arrested, along with 42.6 kilogram of marijuana, 2.6 kilograms of meth, 899 extacy pills, and 304 H-5 pills.
