TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Malaysian police chief Insp. Gen. Khalid Abu Bakar has dismissed Indonesian news reports that he knows about the facts surrounding the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, saying he was perplexed by the news.
“I don’t receive any report,” he was quoted as saying by Bernama news agency on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.
Khalid said he planned on clarifying the reports with his Indonesian counterpart, Gen. Sutarman, who recently told Indonesian reporters about the matters, and would find out which media outlets writing about his knowing the mystery of the ill-fated aircraft.
General Sutarman said Friday that he already passed valuable information to the Malaysian police on what happened to the airplane. Despite balking at revealing the details on the incident, the general said he and his Malaysian counterpart had learned a bit of the truth about the iaccident.
“I don’t think I can reveal it here, but I already gave enough information to Malaysia, and the Malaysian police chief and I are the ones who know about what happened to MH370.”
