TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is determined to fight for his position in the squad. His determination arose after Coach Louis van Gaal signaling that he will not be on the sale list on the transfer window.
"I want to fight for my place," Fellaini said as quoted by ESPN. "The coach wants to play with the 11 players who make the best team. I want to be part of that."
Fellaini joined United from Everton last summer on 27.5-million-pounds transfer fee. However, injuries and poor performance had darkened his light in United. Fellaini only made 22 appearances, netted four goals and two assists last season.
Rumors said he would be sold to Napoli but Fellaini claimed to have talks with van Gaal and stays in Old Trafford.
