TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel has agreed to join Milan on loan. As quoted from Dailymail on Monday, the Dutch player said he wanted to stay in Stamford Bridge and fight for his place as main player.
Due to his limited chances, Ginkel has decided to move to Milan for the next best step for his career.
“I am very happy. Milan is a great club where many Dutch players have played and some big names,” said Ginkel via Milan’s official website.
Ginkel rarely played for Chelsea last year due to his severe ligament injury. Meanwhile, Milan has confirmed that the midfielder has arrived in the city.
“Dutch midfielder Marco Van Ginkel arrived at the Milan-Linate Airport at 22.40 local time,” the club said on their website.
It’s still unknown what kind of contract that will be given to Ginkel. Milan wants the player to join the club on long-term loan.
