TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Priyo Budi Santoso, Deputy Chief of the House of Representative (DPR), asked the current House’s Budgetary Board and the government not to revise the State Budget draft for 2015.
“I’m asking the current DPR Budgetary Board not to revise the most substantial things,” Priyo said on Sunday, August 31, 2014.
Priyo explained that the request had been agreed during a faction leaders meeting yesterday. The House considered that the 2015 State Budget Draft should be handed over to the new government.
“Let the new government and House of Representative revise it,” Priyo said.
According to Priyo, Joko Widodo’s transition team should be given a space to decide the budget allocation in accordance to their programs.
President-elect Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is facing a serious problem to decide the budget allocation in the 2015 State Budget Draft. The problem arose when the State Budget Draft, proposed to the House of Representatives, has yet been discussed due to election dispute filed by Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa presidential pair.
