Police Prevent Riot over Land Dispute

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The North Jakarta Police arrested 112 men for carrying machetes and other lethal weapons on a Sinar Remaja bus in Cilincing, North Jakarta on Friday, as reported by Antara News.

A police officer, who requested anonymity, explained that the men were arrested because they had allegedly been paid to launch an attack in a land dispute in Kelapa Dua, North Jakarta.

“We followed up a lead that these men were likely to launch an attack,” the officer said on Friday.

The North Jakarta Police are currently identifying the men and the mastermind behind the attack. So far, there has not been any official statement released by the police regarding the mass arrest.
