TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Researcher at the Indonesian Corruption Watch (ICW) Ade Irawan, said that state budget is prone to be hijacked during the transition of government since the political parties have been trying to include their cadres or certain people in transactional politics these days.
"They will compete to reach the goals of their political parties in orfer to make it easier for them to get shares from the State Budget, or known as horse-trading politics," Ade said yesterday.
One way to hijack the State Budget during the transition process may also be done through direct interventions to the government, Ade added.
Certain people through members of the House of Representatives (DPR) usually force the government to win projects to the companies owned by members of the DPR or to those close to them.
Should their demands be unfulfilled, the government’s policies will be difficult to be implemented.
