Malang Hosts Cultural Parade

TEMPO.CO, Malang - The Malang Tourism Board will host a cultural parade today with a theme of "Spectacular East Java" where artists, students, government institutions, private organizations took part in displaying attractive and spectacular performance.

Malang Tourism Board Head Sri Wahyuningtyas said yesterday that the participants were divided into groups of 30 people. Each of the groups fell into several categories, including culture, development and education.

East Java has diverse arts and culture with their own uniqueness and characteristics that can be promoted in a cultural parade. Participants were required to perform creatively at the parade, said Sri.

Malang Transportation Agency was also involved in the event by deploying dozens of personnel to prevent traffic jam during the parade.
