TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chief Abraham Samad has asked the House selection committee to stop the recruitment of Busyro Muqoddas' replacement. "We want to remain four. Our performance is not set by the number of leaders," said Abraham.
The request needs to be taken into consideration as recruitment will cost unnecessary spending, given that Busyro Muqoddas’ replacement will only work until 2015, Abraham added.
The recruitment is best held next year, when other KPK board members end their term. "Therefore, the logic saying that the four of us are unable to perform KPK duty is mistaken. It could also be an idea to condescend KPK," said Abraham. "The police are a huge institution, yet it has only one chief and still run well."
