TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Democrat Party’s Executive Chairman Sjarifuddin Hassan said on Sunday, August 24, 2014, that his party have prepared to become the ‘central axis’ party for Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Jusuf “JK” Kalla administration.

According to Sjarif, the party’s attitude would depend on the policy to be made by Jokowi-JK.

“If their policies favored the people, then we would support them. If not, we would criticize them,” Sjarif said.

However, Sjarif said that the attitude has yet been final.

“It might change. We’ll see the development in the future,” Sjarif added.

Sjarif revealed that if Jokowi would appoint a cadre of the Democratic Party, it would have to be approved by the party’s chairman, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. But Sjarif said that his party was not concerned about positions at the government.
