TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The two most entertaining teams in Premier League, defending champion Manchester City and last season’s runner up Liverpool, are to have a showdown tonight in Etihad Stadium, Manchester. Needless to say, Etihad tonight is booked to serve a clash of Premier League titans.

The two teams are noted to have the most goals scored in Premier league last season. Manchester City scored 102 goals while Liverpool scored 101 goals. The tight rivalry between the two teams is also seen by the points obtained, in which City had to wait to the last match to secure the title with two points advantage over Liverpool.

Tonight in Etihad, Liverpool will depend their fate in the hands of Philippe Coutinho, Raheem Sterling, and Joe Allen, all three facing the horde of David Silva, Samir Nasri, and James Milner. Surely, a number of goals are expected from the match. The two teams have scored a combination of 10 goals in the last five matches – in which Liverpool won the latest one.

However, Liverpool will be playing a slightly different game than last season, in the absence of the now-gone goal getter Luis Suarez. As the anticipated star Mario Balotelli is yet to finish his transfer document, Liverpool can only rely on England international striker Daniel Sturridge.
