TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Having launched the premium phone LG G3, LG Mobile Communication starts to aim at Android newbies by launching the LG L20 on Thursday. The smartphone is sold for only Rp700,000.
LG Head of Product Marketing said 60 percent of Indonesian market still opt to buy a phone priced under Rp1 million and 50 percent [of the market] buys 2G phones.
The LG L20 is featured with 3G connection and running with Android 4.4.2 KitKat system operation. Other specifications include 2 MP camera with Core 1.0 Ghz and 512 MB RAM. The 3-inch display phone is available in two colors, white blue combination and black.
"We are confident to hit the economical smartphone market this year," Adinda said.
LG is partnering up with local network provider Telkomsel to provide bundling packages offered with the phone. The affordable phone can be purchased in the Eraphone outlets and Transmart Carrefour.
