TEMPO.CO, Manchester -Liverpool are in a serious talk with AC Milan to sign former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli. Liverpool helmsman Brendan Rodgers has a high expectation over the 24-year-old Italian striker, particularly after losing his troubled goal-getter Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
Several news media have reported that Liverpool have signed the player over 16 million pounds. Balotelli even confirmed the rumor as he spoke to Sky Sports and told that he was in his last days in Milan.
Prior to Milan, Balotelli had worn the blue jersey of Manchester, scoring 30 goals in 80 appearances. The player moved to Milan in January 2013 over 19 million pounds transfer fee, scoring 30 goals in 54 appearances.
However, signing Balotelli is not without a catch. The player has a serious disciplinary issue. In his time at City, Super Mario had a quarrel with then manager Roberto Mancini. Yet again, the Italian striker has proven that in the right hands he can be a ferocious striker, even more menacing than what Suarez can be.
