TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chief Justice Hamdan Zoelva said that witnesses providing false testimonies will be charged over seven years of imprisonment. "Witness under oath can be charged over seven years," said Hamdan earlier today. "It can be brought before penal court."
Hamdan said that he will still listen to the testimony, despite the fact that there have been rumors of false testimony. "Fake or not, that is penal court to decide," he said.
Until today, Hamdan said that the court on Presidential Election appeal has been according to order. He mentioned that the two sides have provided proofs and witnesses seriously, fulfilling the demand of the Constitutional Court.
