TEMPO.CO, Madrid - Despite the arrival of Mario Mandzukic in Vicente Calderon, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is far from relieved. The La Liga Champion was said to continue to look for another top-class striker to be teamed up with Mandzukic in the upcoming season.
So far, Simeone has three candidates, all of whom are playing in the English Premier League. The former Argentine International was said to be interested in signing Arsenal's Santi Carzola, Manchester United's Javier Hernandez, and Chelsea's Fernando Torres.
Having had 55 million Poundsterling from Diego Costa and Filipe Luis' transfer, Atletico is ready to recruit new players. Moreover, earlier this month, Arsenal have said that they are willing to let Cazorla go for 15 million Poundsterling.
Similarly, Manchester United had also state its readiness to let Javier Hernandez go. As for Torres, Chelsea is having a hard time believing that the 50 million Poundsterling striker has yet to reach his top performance.
