TEMPO.CO, Makassar - Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa team said that suspicions on the presence of ghost voters in the additional special voter lists (DPKTb) in South Sulawesi was one of the reasons for challenging the presidential election results to the Constitutional Court. Ahmad Baskam, coordinator of the Red and White Coalition in South Sulawesi, said that evidence suggested that 85,000 ghost voters had been submitted to the team of election result dispute (PHPU) on July 21, 2014.
According to Ahmad, the ghost voters were spread at 16,757 polling stations in South Sulawesi, using ID cards or Family cards when registering directlt at polling stations.
"The DPKTb can be found in C1 or in Subdistrict Polling Committee's provincial recapitulation," Ahmad said on Friday, August 1, 2014.
Since the team discovered that the DPKTb was not appropriate, Prabowo-Hatta supporters had filed an objection to the General Election Committee (KPU) in South Sulawesi, as recorded in the DC2 form. However, Ahmad said that the KPU did not provide any response when conducting the recapitulation on July 16.
"Since there was no response from the KPU, we filed a request for review to the Constitutional Court," Ahmad added.
Khaerul Mannan, a member of KPU's legal and supervisory division, said that he had prepared answers, chronology and counterarguments to dismiss any claim regarding the DPKTb.
"The answers will be submitted to the Central KPU," Khaerul said.
In addition, KPU's spokesperson Asrar Marlang, said that Prabowo-Hatta team had never filed an objection to his institution when the recapitulation was conducted.
"If there was any [objection], there should be a recommendation from the Elections Supervisory Committee," Asrar said.
