TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - TransJakarta Head Pargaulan Butarbutar said he would add more TransJakarta buses in August. "There are already 30 new buses," Butarbutar told Tempo yesterday.
These new buses are to anticipate those that often break down, causing buildup of passengers at shelters. "We prepare new buses to anticipate that kind of thing," said Butarbutar, adding that old buses are still operational.
The 30 new buses will be sent to corridors where buses usually break down. "Especially in corridor 9 (Pinang Ranti-Pluit)."
It is unclear when the new buses will be operational. They are still waiting for administrative completeness and validation. "It’s in August," said Butarbutar.
