TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil has instructed Civil Service Police Force (Satpol PP) and Transportation Service of Bandung to discipline street vendors who stay and park their cars on the roadsides.
"Street vendors with cars will also be disciplined as they have violated the rules by parking in restricted places," Ridwan said this morning.
The provincial government of Bandung, cooperating with Bandung police and armed forces, will be taking an action according to the government regulation of Bandung.
"We have prepared places for trading in provided malls or shopping centers, not on roadsides," said the mayor.
"We’ll see how the first stage of act goes. If they are still trading on the roadsides, we will establish a firmer mechanism. We urge them to obey the existing rule. Please trade in the non-restricted places."
