TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The majority of Gorontalo people visited the city park, lake side, or culinary center to await break fasting time with families and associates.
Jalan Nani Wartabone became one of the residents’ destination to await break fasting time while shopping various appetizers along the street.
“Usually at 3pm local time, this place starts to be crowded, especially when office workers get off from work and stops by in this area,” local resident Zainal Yahya said.
There are few that chooses the City Park with several playing facilities and shaded trees in the afternoon.
“The place is cozy and there are many merchants in the area,” Marni said, another local resident.
Taruna Remaja Field in the central of Gorontalo City also became the place to await breakfasting.
Aside from easy access, the place has many activity rooms, including among them is a sport venue.
Other interesting location is the ‘Tangga 2,000’ (Two Thousand Staircases), which is only 10 minutes from the central city.
Residents fill the place before break fasting time to enjoy the view of the seaside. When it is time for break fasting, people can order roasted corn and coffee sold by merchants in the area.
Meanwhile, several residents chose to enjoy the view and the coolness of the Limboto lakeside while fishing.
“Every fasting month I take myself fishing to this location, the right place to kill time while awaiting break fasting,” said Ridwan Idris, 40, a visitor.
“The five favorite locations are Jalan Nani Wartabone, City Park, Taruna Remaja Field, Tangga 2,000 and Limboto lakeside,” Zainal Yahya said on Monday.
