TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Army (TNI AD) has revealed the identity of its member who has been suspected of extorting Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten. The name of the soldier is First Sergeant Rosidin. "He was assigned in the Zeni Military Command (Kodam Jaya)," said Army chief spokesman Brig. Gen. Andika Perkasa to Tempo yesterday.
Rosidin was arrested at a sudden inspection by joint officers from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and Police, yesterday afternoon. The soldier allegedly extorted TKI who just returned from abroad.
Rosidin was just handed over to the military police through a handover of suspect-and-evidence event. "He is currently being investigated at the police military."
According to Brig. Gen. Andika, Army chief Lt. Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo has ordered to immediately complete the investigation. He even ordered to give a heavy sanction on the suspect if he was proven guilty.
