TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - MakerBot introduced 3D printer to Indonesian market through its sole distributor PT Perdana Occitek. The three dimensional (3D) printer is claimed to be a helpful tool for architects to shorten time needed to complete their works.
"The 3D printer will facilitate practitioners in architecture field to make their prototypes," said Sugianto, the Director of PT Perdana Occitek.

The first has 11.2 x 6.1x6.0-inch size with steel frame and movable PVC sides to protect printed object. It has 100 micron resolution and uses PLA philamen plastic claimed to be able to maintain the printed shape under hot or cold weather. Repicator 2 is tagged with US$3,000 or around Rp35 million.
"It [the printer] is compatible with devices run on Windows, Linux, and Mac," Sugianto added.
The Replicator 2x has higher specification and thus higher price. The printer is able to print objects in two colors using the material of ABS and PLA plastic. It is priced as US$4,000 or Rp47 million per unit.
