"Police cars will patrol around residential areas to ensure situations are safe and sound," Hendro yesterday.
The security measure will be carried out for 24 hours. "When no house owners and police officers available, robbers can do whatever they want," he explained. Other than patrolling around, the police have set up security posts in a number of busy roads.
The security posts are yellow tents with names of respective regional police offices. "The police have 60 patrol cars that are ready for their duties during Lebaran. Moreover, there will be additional cars from police offices in Central Jakarta," he said.
