TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Hotman Paris, attorney of the Jakarta International School (JIS) teachers Neil Bentlemen and Ferdinand, said the two teachers had passed the lie detector test taken Wednesday. The test, started at 11 a.m. took 4.5 hours. "They took the lie detector test yesterday and passed," Hotman told Tempo through email.
Bentlemen and Ferdinand denied to have committed sexual abuse towards the students. No signs of lies shown by both suspects until the test was over.
The two men have previously been detained by the Metro Jaya Police Department since July 14. When arrested, Bentlemen and Ferdinand denied to have committed the crime. They also said the police have no evidence to charge them for such crime.
