TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Akbar Faisal, the secretary at Jokowi-JK campaign team denied that his team was involved in opening illegal voting ballot in North and Central Jakarta. Instead, he accused that the case was brought up to stir the situation, in light of Prabowo-Hatta's report to the Constitutional Court (MK). "We are not thieves. It is us who are often violated," Akbar told Tempo.

The accusation began as Muhammad Taufik, Head of Prabowo-Hatta campaign team, said that Electoral Committee (PPK) in North and Central Jakarta were attempting to eliminate evidence, which was supposed to be brought before the court. Taufik accused his counterpart of opening the ballot and eliminate illegal voters.

Akbar, responding the situation, said that Prabowo's side was trying to manipulate facts. "We believe they had no evidence," he said, suggesting that Jokowi-JK will prevail before the court. "The victory is pure from the people's vote. We do not worry about the allegation."
