TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo said he would not perform mutation toward Echelon II officials, instead leaving the matter to the governor replacing him.
"That will be the governor’s concern later on," Jokowi told reporters at the City Hall yesterday. In a couple of months, Jokowi will be inaugurated as President and deputy governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama will become Jakarta governor.
Jokowi has yet planned on giving special briefings toward officials in the Provincial Government of Jakarta before leaving office. "They will be briefed when necessary. We only summoned several officials such as regional secretaries and head of services," Jokowi said in a statement.
The president elect returned to his office after a 1.5-month temporary leave. Jokowi held a meeting with his vice president elect to discuss several matters.
Previously, Ahok expressed a desire to replace Echelon II officials with poor performances. Head of Public Works Agency Manggas Rudy Siahaan and Head of Financial Region Management Agency Endang Widjajanti are the ones waiting in line.
